Bobby Pat Lindley was a private first class for the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He died on March 26, 1969 at the age of 22 because of an explosive device.
Bobby Pat (B.P.) Lindley was my classmate in our Junior/Senior years at Lee. He was a dedicated friend and great human being. When we were in Drama Class and were asked to do pantomime skits individually, he did a hilarious bit about a Dentist that had the whole class in stiches. I was greatly saddened a few years after graduation to learn of his demise in Vietnam where he gave his life for our great Country. Several years later, I found his name on the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in D.C. So, on this Memorial Day 2022, B.P., you are in my fond thoughts, memories and prayers!!!
Pat Lindley was a wonderful friend. We had many good times at school and at Sharpstown Baptist Church. I remember he had a younger brother that was a very nice young fellow.
I was aboard ship in the Navy when I got a letter from Richard Babb telling me that Pat lost his life in Vietnam. That was a sad day for me because Pat was a guy that everyone liked and respected.
